- one year customer service experience
- completion of medical receptionist or equivalent training program preferred
- medical or hospital setting experience preferred
- knowledge of medical terminology preferred

Job Duties
- Represent Sharp Rees-Stealy by providing patient appointments and operational support
- provide a high level of customer service consistent with Sharp HealthCare's mission and goals
- manage patient registration including demographic and insurance updates
- confirm insurance eligibility and obtain authorizations for services
- resolve billing and insurance related issues with patients
- schedule patient appointments accurately and confirm future visits
- maintain supplies and prepare reports as per department guidelines
