Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • one year customer service experience
  • completion of medical receptionist or equivalent training program preferred
  • medical or hospital setting experience preferred
  • knowledge of medical terminology preferred

Job Duties

  • Represent Sharp Rees-Stealy by providing patient appointments and operational support
  • provide a high level of customer service consistent with Sharp HealthCare's mission and goals
  • manage patient registration including demographic and insurance updates
  • confirm insurance eligibility and obtain authorizations for services
  • resolve billing and insurance related issues with patients
  • schedule patient appointments accurately and confirm future visits
  • maintain supplies and prepare reports as per department guidelines
