Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • at least one year of medical office experience preferred
  • bilingual a plus
  • basic phone handling skills
  • basic knowledge of insurance plans and the specialty referral process

Job Qualifications

  • Excellent customer patient service
  • knowledge of medical terminology
  • working knowledge of computer programs
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • understand and perform training on practice management software
  • continue to expand knowledge of practice management software as updates occur
  • follow all Standard Operating Procedures
  • high school diploma or GED

Job Duties

  • Answer phone in prompt, courteous and helpful manner, screening, and routing calls as needed
  • create phone notes in the patient electronic medical record
  • provide information to patients
  • assist in indexing patient documents to the correct patient chart
  • assist in routing electronic faxes to the correct location or uploading to the correct patient chart
  • assist with other duties as needed during down time
  • perform all other duties as assigned
