Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- at least one year of medical office experience preferred
- bilingual a plus
- basic phone handling skills
- basic knowledge of insurance plans and the specialty referral process
Job Qualifications
- Excellent customer patient service
- knowledge of medical terminology
- working knowledge of computer programs
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
- understand and perform training on practice management software
- continue to expand knowledge of practice management software as updates occur
- follow all Standard Operating Procedures
- high school diploma or GED
Job Duties
- Answer phone in prompt, courteous and helpful manner, screening, and routing calls as needed
- create phone notes in the patient electronic medical record
- provide information to patients
- assist in indexing patient documents to the correct patient chart
- assist in routing electronic faxes to the correct location or uploading to the correct patient chart
- assist with other duties as needed during down time
- perform all other duties as assigned
