Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in food service, healthcare, or hospitality
- knowledge of dietary restrictions and special diets preferred
- ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts
- ability to lift up to 100 pounds
- strong communication skills
- compliance with HIPAA and patient confidentiality policies
Job Qualifications
- ability to lift and or move up to 100 pounds
- computer technical skills to operate hospital systems
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
- previous experience in food service, healthcare, or hospitality preferred
- knowledge of dietary restrictions and special diets preferred
Job Duties
- take patients menu selections prior to each meal
- assemble trays according to patients menu selections on tray tickets in a timely and accurate manner
- deliver trays and in-between meal food to patients
- retrieve trays from patients rooms
- comply with dietary restrictions on special and modified diets
- offer alternatives to menu items in accordance with dietary guidelines and patient preferences
- communicate any patient related problems or concerns to appropriate personnel in a timely manner
