Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or healthcare-related field
- Within 30 days of hire obtain California Fire and Life Safety Card
- Minimum five years of experience in acute care hospital setting
- Certification as CPPS preferred but not mandatory upon hire
- Two years of patient safety experience
- Ability to influence hospital leadership
- Experience conducting safety training
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or healthcare-related field
- Master’s degree in nursing or healthcare-related field preferred
- Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS) preferred
- Experience in patient safety within acute care hospital setting
- Strong leadership and communication skills
Job Duties
- Overseeing and implementing patient safety systems and processes
- Monitoring and analyzing patient safety data
- Developing and implementing improvement initiatives to prevent errors and accidents
- Conducting safety training for hospital staff
- Investigating and addressing incidents affecting patient safety
- Developing education and influencing hospital leadership to improve patient safety
- Creating and promoting a culture of safety within the hospital
