Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or five years related experience in lieu of degree
- Minimum of three years in risk management or patient safety within acute care hospital
- Minimum of two years managing or supervising employees
- Experience with Cerner EMR
- Ability to facilitate investigations and perform root cause analysis
- Strong communication and leadership skills
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum of three years in risk management or patient safety in an acute care hospital
- At least two years of supervisory or management experience in healthcare
- Proficient with Cerner EMR system
- Strong knowledge of patient safety practices and event reporting
- Excellent investigation and analytical skills
Job Duties
- Oversee the Patient Safety Program including Patient Safety Plan requirements
- Collect, analyze and report patient safety events and data
- Facilitate investigations surrounding risk events
- Coordinate patient safety improvement opportunities
- Ensure compliance with accreditation and regulatory requirements
- Lead root cause analyses and grievance investigations
- Manage and supervise patient safety staff
