Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing, public health or related field
  • Registered nurse preferred or minimum 3 years relevant acute care experience
  • 2-4 years experience in accreditation surveys in lead or support role
  • 1-3 years experience in project management and performance improvement
  • Working knowledge of state, federal, and national hospital accreditation standards
  • Strong analytical and statistical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Ability to interpret regulatory and infection prevention standards
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
  • Certification or intent to obtain CPPS or CPHQ within 2 years

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing, public health or related field
  • Registered nurse preferred or equivalent experience
  • Experience in acute care facility with multiple care levels
  • Knowledge of patient safety practices and accreditation standards
  • Experience with The Joint Commission and CMS requirements
  • Strong communication and team building skills
  • Proficient in data analysis and performance measurement
  • Motivational and conflict resolution abilities

Job Duties

  • Monitor regulatory compliance across all levels of care
  • Perform patient safety surveillance rounds and prevention education
  • Collect and analyze data related to survey activities
  • Support creation and reporting of corrective action plans
  • Provide guidance on regulatory requirements and patient safety standards
  • Act as liaison with The Joint Commission and regulatory agencies
  • Assist in policy and procedure development and review
  • Participate in investigations of safety issues and compliance gaps
  • Ensure compliant documentation regarding patient safety
  • Participate in evaluation of patient safety systems
  • Assist with data management and performance improvement
  • Provide concurrent case reviews and recommendations
  • Advocate safe practices and escalate safety concerns
  • Perform other duties as assigned
