Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED
  • 2-4 years of relevant work experience
  • bilingual preferred

  • ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
  • customer service orientation
  • proficiency with scheduling and registration systems

Job Qualifications

  • minimum of a high school diploma or GED
  • 2-4 years of relevant work experience in healthcare or customer service
  • bilingual preferred (oral and written)
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • ability to work effectively in a diverse team environment
  • knowledge of patient registration and scheduling systems a plus

Job Duties

  • assist with daily reception activities and ensure that all processes needed for patient services are initiated
  • communicate effectively with team members and patients all aspects of service
  • responsible for professional and responsive communication with patients including telephone, in person, health center based, and mail contact with patients
  • responsible for the scheduling of appointments, fee collection, explanation of services and charges for patient services
  • distribute materials to patients including the patient satisfaction cards, patient rights and other appropriate materials
  • verify all insurance and set fees based on the sliding scale fee
