Job Duties
- Greet, register, and check in patients upon arrival to the clinic
- Act as the first point of contact and provide a positive patient experience
- Schedule patient appointments, procedures, and diagnostic tests
- Answer and appropriately route incoming phone calls
- Prepare orders, distribute patient charts, and update patient demographic and insurance information
- Prepare, collect, and reconcile charge tickets
- Balance monies collected and prepare daily activity and reconciliation reports
- Assist patients with questions, concerns, and general needs
- Provide clerical and administrative support to clinic staff as needed
- Respond effectively to the needs of patients ranging from newborn through geriatric populations
- Adhere to UAB policies, HIPAA guidelines, and clinic workflows
