Job Requirements

  • high school or equivalent
  • two years experience in healthcare or customer service field
  • ability to demonstrate competency in scheduling and registration
  • must pass all EPIC competencies within 30 days of hire or after Epic Clerical Training
  • pass annual competency exams
  • attend quarterly MSO meetings, staff meetings, and employee forums

Job Qualifications

  • high school or equivalent
  • two years experience in healthcare or customer service field with significant customer service experience
  • competency in scheduling and registration
  • ability to pass EPIC competencies within 30 days of hire or post Epic Clerical Training
  • knowledge of customer encounter process including scheduling, registration, contract requirements, financial guidelines, coordination of services, and billing processes

Job Duties

  • act as experience ambassador for patients, families, and visitors
  • mentor and encourage use of kiosk technology for patient registration
  • ensure accuracy of data capture to reduce denials
  • collect secure financial payments including co-insurance, copayments, residual balances, self-pay, and deductibles
  • provide concierge customer service including registration and wayfinding
  • respond to walk-in inquiries such as form and prescription pickup, scheduling, and release of information requests
  • manage telephone encounter messages accurately and route appropriately
