Job Requirements

  • high school or equivalent
  • two years experience in healthcare or customer service
  • ability to demonstrate competency in scheduling and registration
  • pass EPIC competencies within 30 days of hire or upon completion of Epic Clerical Training
  • pass annual competency exams
  • attend quarterly MSO meetings
  • attend staff meetings
  • attend employee forums

Job Qualifications

  • high school or equivalent
  • two years experience in healthcare or customer service with significant customer service experience
  • demonstrate competency in scheduling and registration
  • pass all EPIC competencies within 30 days of hire
  • general knowledge of customer encounter processes including scheduling, registration, contract requirements, financial guidelines, coordination of services, and billing
  • strong communication skills with ability to manage conflict and escalate when necessary

Job Duties

  • act as experience ambassador for patients, families, and visitors
  • mentor and encourage use of Kiosk technology for patient registration
  • ensure accuracy of data capture to reduce denials
  • secure financial payments at time of service including co-insurance, copayments, residual balances, self-pay, and deductibles
  • facilitate patient registration and wayfinding
  • respond to walk-in inquiries such as form or prescription pick-up, scope of practice information, PCP acquisition, scheduling, release of information requests, and message management
  • manage telephone encounter messages and route appropriately
