Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • One year related experience required
  • Ability to read and speak English
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of 6 to 8 hours
  • Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment for 6 to 8 hours
  • Ability to complete hospital and department orientation successfully

Job Qualifications

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to read and speak English
  • Successful completion of hospital orientation
  • Successful completion of department orientation
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand and walk for 6 to 8 hours
  • Ability to pull and push carts and equipment for 6 to 8 hours

Job Duties

  • Maintain established standards for high food quality by using recipe cards, training and teamwork to provide the utmost in customer satisfaction
  • Prepare assigned recipes according to production sheets and special requests utilizing standardized recipe cards to meet quality and quantity needs
  • Maintain appropriate sanitation in service and prep areas to ensure a sanitary working environment
  • Assure safety of patients, staff and visitors through enforcement of department safety policies and procedures
  • Perform additional assignments as required by the supervisor or manager
