Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of hire
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Ability to safely operate patient assist equipment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to maintain professionalism
  • Ability to handle physical aspects of patient transport
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing training
  • Ability to follow hospital and CTD policies
  • Ability to report safety issues and equipment malfunctions timely
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association within 30 days of hire
  • Ability to demonstrate competence in critical thinking and interpersonal skills
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to use patient assist equipment safely
  • Professional appearance and demeanor in a healthcare environment
  • Capability to operate specialized patient transport equipment
  • Commitment to patient-centered care
  • Ability to perform assigned technical competencies
  • Willingness to attend ongoing training and competency refreshers
  • Experience in hospital or healthcare environment preferred but not required.

Job Duties

  • Demonstrates competence in critical thinking, interpersonal relationships, and technical skills
  • Provides care/service safely and efficiently for each patient
  • Maintains a safe working environment on the valet ramp and reports unsafe conditions
  • Presents a neat and clean appearance appropriate for a healthcare environment
  • Maintains professionalism at all times
  • Greets arriving patients and guests courteously
  • Solves problems and communicates effectively, following up on customer concerns
  • Provides information regarding hospital, transportation, directions, and parking services
  • Organizes and leads work efforts to ensure high service delivery and patient satisfaction
  • Uses patient assist equipment in transferring patients
  • Informs dispatcher and relevant areas of urgent patient needs
  • Assists information desk with directions to hospital areas
  • Performs daily work assignments efficiently and accurately
  • Reports equipment malfunctions promptly
  • Attends annual and as-needed training for equipment competency
  • Operates specialized patient transportation equipment safely
  • Performs professional and technical competencies as required
  • Adapts to additional duties as assigned.
