Job Requirements
- High school graduate or GED
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of hire
- Physical ability to use patient assist equipment
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain professional appearance
- Completion of annual refresher training for patient transport equipment
- Ability to report safety hazards and maintain a safe work environment

Job Duties
- Demonstrates competence in critical thinking interpersonal relationships and technical skills
- Demonstrates ability to provide care safely and efficiently for each patient
- Maintains a safe working environment on the valet ramp and reports unsafe conditions
- Presents a neat and clean appearance appropriate for a professional healthcare environment
- Demonstrates and maintains a high level of professionalism
- Ensures all arriving patients and guests are greeted courteously and helpfully
- Solves problems effectively and communicates with internal and external customers
- Provides information regarding hospital, transportation, parking services and rates
- Organizes and leads work efforts to ensure high customer and patient satisfaction
- Uses patient assist equipment in the movement and transfer of patients
- Informs Dispatcher and relevant departments of urgent or special patient needs
- Assists Information Desk with directions for patients and visitors
- Maintains a patient-centered focus and supports hospital mission and values
- Performs daily work assignments efficiently and accurately
- Reports equipment malfunctions promptly
- Attends annual refresher training to demonstrate competency with transportation equipment
- Operates oxygen tanks, wheelchairs, stretchers, lift chairs, telemetry monitors, slide-boards and Air-Pal equipment safely
- Performs professional clinical and technical competencies as required
- Other duties as assigned
