Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- two to three years of culinary work experience
- culinary degree or related education preferred
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- effective leadership and interpersonal skills
- excellent communication abilities
- ability to manage inventory and handle discrepancies
- willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- hands-on approach with staff and operational duties
Job Qualifications
- Two to three years experience in a related culinary position
- two to three years of post-high school education preferably a culinary degree
- advanced knowledge of principles and practices in the food profession
- experiential knowledge in people management and problem resolution
- excellent oral, reading, and written communication skills
- willingness to work hands-on with staff and operations
- availability to work event-based hours including evenings and weekends
Job Duties
- Supervise and participate in the production, preparation, and presentation of all foods for assigned units
- ensure consistent quality product output as per Aramark Executive Chef's standards
- maintain sufficient inventory to meet daily needs including recording deliveries and handling discrepancies
- assist with proper storage of food items
- ensure proper handling of food products and kitchen equipment to comply with food safety and kitchen standards
- uphold cleanliness and high sanitation standards at all times
- interview, schedule, train, develop, empower, coach, and counsel staff
- resolve problems promptly
- provide open communication
- recommend discipline when appropriate
