Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in patient registration or related healthcare role preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team
  • Knowledge of insurance eligibility and authorization processes
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a timely manner
  • Basic computer proficiency

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in patient registration or financial services preferred
  • Familiarity with insurance verification processes
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology preferred
  • Experience with cash collections preferred

Job Duties

  • Perform registration/check-in processes including data entry and obtaining signatures
  • Verify insurance eligibility benefits and document appropriately
  • Assist in obtaining or validating pre-certification, referrals, and authorizations
  • Calculate and collect patient liability and explain financial policies
  • Enter payments/charges and perform payment reconciliation
  • Schedule office visits and procedures according to payor plans
  • Demonstrate proactive communication skills addressing patient concerns
