Job Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Experience in lieu of degree or diploma accepted
- Certified Food Service Handler's Card as required by local Health Department
- Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts
- Ability to work every other weekend
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to respond promptly and accurately to dietary changes
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Experience in lieu of degree or diploma accepted
- Certified Food Service Handler's Card as required by local Health Department
- Previous customer service experience preferred
Job Duties
- Deliver patient meal service food on assigned units
- Communicate patient food issues, concerns and needs to Food and Nutrition Services
- Interact with Nursing regarding patient nutrition needs or requirements
- Assist dietitian with monitoring patients on NPO, clear liquid and full liquid diets
- Record food intake for patients on intake analysis
- React accurately and effectively to changes ensuring efficient timing of services and accuracy of physician-ordered modified diets
- Ensure familiarity with dietary restrictions on special and modified diets to optimize patient care and satisfaction
- Maintain patient satisfaction on assigned units
