Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a medical office or similar setting
  • Proficiency with computers
  • Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Compassionate attitude
  • Fluency in Spanish preferred

  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with computers and familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
  • Ability to provide age-specific care for behavioral health populations
  • Strong organizational skills and confidence to work independently
  • Fluency in Spanish preferred
  • Compassionate and positive attitude with a commitment to patient care and willingness to manage both existing and new patients

Job Duties

  • Greet patients and visitors in person and over the phone, answering inquiries or directing them appropriately
  • Schedule appointments in person or by phone to maximize patient satisfaction and treatment room utilization
  • Verify patient information through interviews, reviewing and recording medical and medication histories, taking vital signs, and confirming the purpose of visits
  • Complete patient records by documenting examinations, treatments, and test results
  • Perform administrative tasks, including checking patients in and out, collecting copayments and other payments, managing prior authorizations and filing insurance paperwork, updating medical records and supporting documentation for orders
  • Provide clerical support, including answering phones, managing correspondence, and assisting with projects assigned by the office manager
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with clinic policies and regulations
