Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum two years of experience in patient scheduling or registration
- Ability to lift 50-100 lbs
- Capacity for prolonged standing, sitting, and repetitive motions
- Strong recall, reasoning, problem solving, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to comply with all organizational policies and procedures
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Minimum two years of patient scheduling or registration experience in a healthcare setting
- Strong customer service and patient-centered approach
- Familiarity with medical insurance, HMO, managed care preferred
- Experience with GE/IDX, Cerner order entry, and medical terminology preferred
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Job Duties
- Coordinate and schedule patient appointments and initial consults
- Review and verify completeness of medical records and appointment documentation
- Interface with nursing staff for appointment appropriateness and preauthorization
- Monitor and process patient appointment cancellations promptly
- Manage wait lists to improve patient access to clinics
- Provide courteous and efficient customer service to patients, families, medical staff, and visitors
- Perform all aspects of patient access representative duties as needed
