Job Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Minimum one year practice-based experience or similar healthcare setting preferred
- Customer service experience preferred
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods up to 8 hours
- Ability to use fingers continually for patient care, writing, and computer entry
- Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds and pushing carts up to 30 pounds
- Ability to push wheelchairs with patients weighing up to 325 pounds
- Ability to stoop, bend, and reach above shoulder level
- Good hearing and near, peripheral vision
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to express compassion and empathy consistently
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Preference given to graduates of administrative training programs
- Minimum one year practice-based experience or similar healthcare setting preferred
- Customer service experience preferred

Job Duties
- Engages patients in a polite, prompt, and compassionate manner during all practice-based patient interactions
- Performs clerical service delivery functions including check-in, patient consent, check-out, pre-registration, real-time eligibility verification, registration, MyChart education, appointment/testing scheduling at check-out, point of service payment collection, and addressing patient inquiries
- Delivers waiting room concierge service and provides hands-on support for kiosk check-in
- Facilitates practice opening and closing procedures, maintains practice cleanliness, processes incoming mail and deliveries, manages cash and reconciliation, and promptly scans and indexes incoming faxes
- Supports other practice-based team members by addressing in-basket clerical pool messages
- Partners with Access Center Patient Engagement Partners to address time-sensitive scheduling requests
- Facilitates connection from Access Center Clinical Triage Specialists to care team members for urgent clinical inquiries
- Maintains a solution-oriented mindset to anticipate and tend to patient needs by partnering with other departments
