Job Requirements
- Associates degree preferred, may substitute equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience working in an office environment, answering phones, and scheduling
- Proficiency in dental software usage
- Strong communication skills
- Effective time management and multitasking abilities
- Ability to follow CDC and safety guidelines for cleanliness
- Willingness to be trained in sterilization techniques
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and in a team

- Proficiency with MS Office products at an intermediate level
- Experience working in an office environment, answering phones, and scheduling
- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to function effectively in a time-sensitive environment while meeting multiple deadlines
Job Duties
- Answers phones promptly, professionally, and pleasantly
- Effectively uses dental software with no errors
- Schedule patient appointments
- Verify dental insurance and coverage
- Post insurance payments and help with accounts receivables
- Efficient in-patient flow by promptly greeting, checking-in/out
- Receive proper documentation in a timely manner
- Handle end of day closing procedures and prepare for following business day
- Prepare trays with appropriate setup
- Operate and maintain sterilizing equipment including autoclaves and ultrasonic
- Organize and stock supplies
- Clean and break down rooms
- Properly prepare operatories for patient treatments
- Assist patients with registration process and confirm copays and treatment plans are accurate and signed
- Monitor patient in waiting areas to ensure superior customer service
- Ensure waiting areas and restrooms are disinfected to meet CDC and safety guidelines
- Inform doctors promptly when patients arrive and communicate schedule changes
- Mail patient treatment reports to referring providers
- Mail welcome packets and referral pads to general dentists for marketing
- Coordinate and collaborate with peers and other departments
- Work independently or in a team environment
- Assist others and respond to patient and staff requests in real time
- Communicate effectively with patients, peers, and supervisors
- Provide timely need-to-know information
- Ensure interactions with patients are positive and courteous
