Job Requirements
- Desire to enter the healthcare field to care for others
- must be comfortable mixing acid or bicarb
- flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- willingness to float to various facilities
- ability to handle 12+ hour shifts and remain on feet
- commitment to patient safety and quality care
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- comfortable working around blood and needles
- physical and mental ability to stand for long hours
- willingness to train and work across multiple facilities
- experience in healthcare preferred such as BONENT certification, Certified Hemodialysis Technician, Certified Nursing Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant, or Phlebotomy certification
- successful completion of pre-employment color blind test
Job Duties
- Provide direct one-on-one patient care
- monitor patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment
- measure and record vital statistics and patient observations
- set up and manage hemodialysis machines
- educate patients on kidney dialysis-related topics
- build long-term relationships with patients
- work collaboratively with cross-functional care team under RN supervision
