Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent GED
certification as a nursing assistant or six months of recent experience as a nursing assistant
six months of recent experience as a nursing assistant
current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant or one clinical semester of nursing school or successful completion of an acute care nurse aide course or six months previous experience in a healthcare position can be substituted
Basic Life Support (BLS) training or retraining is required during orientation prior to providing patient care
current Basic Life Support (BLS) must be maintained through retraining for duration of employment
Certified Nursing Assistant preferred

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent GED
certification as a nursing assistant or six months of recent nursing assistant experience
six months of recent experience as a nursing assistant
current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant or one clinical semester of nursing school or successful completion of an acute care nurse aide course
ability to maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Certified Nursing Assistant preferred

Job Duties

Provide basic patient care
assist in maintaining a safe and clean environment
take and record vital signs and relay information to patient's nurse
provide general nursing care and routine treatments
facilitate processing of patients
provide clerical receptionist support
offer coordinating support
perform additional duties related to departmental needs
