Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- BLS certification obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role prior to providing direct patient care
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- BLS certification obtained within 14 days of hire
- Experience in phlebotomy or completion of phlebotomy course
- Demonstrated proficiency in phlebotomy
- Two years of experience in acute or long-term care
- Completion of approved CNA, PCT, or paramedic certification including BLS or current enrollment in nursing school
- Knowledge of medical terminology
Job Duties
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and eating
- Observe and report patients' progress to nurses and medical staff
- Obtain and record patients' vital signs
- Collect specimens for laboratory tests
- Provide basic patient transport and housekeeping duties
- Measure and record patients' intake and output
- Assist patients with range of motion exercises and draw blood
