Job Requirements
- verifiable medical receptionist or front office experience
- ability to perform accurate, high-quality work in a fast-paced environment
- positive and professional demeanor
- strong organizational skills
- reliable attendance and punctuality
- willingness to work Monday through Friday within clinic hours
- ability to work as part of a team
- ability to manage phone systems and handle patient inquiries
- willingness to undergo 90-day training period
- ability to pass background and drug screening
- local candidate or reliable commuter
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience as a medical receptionist or front office role in healthcare
- strong computer skills and experience with electronic medical records systems
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- knowledge of medical terminology preferred
- bachelor’s degree preferred
- prior experience in a fast-paced office setting preferred
Job Duties
- manage phone calls and patient communications
- greet and register patients in the electronic medical records system
- collect patient copays, coinsurance, and deductibles upon check-in
- schedule full treatment plan appointments after initial evaluations
- complete accurate data entry for new patient intake, registration, and processing
- reschedule appointments as necessary
- perform patient visit phone call reminders
- manage accurate patient accounts
- assist with in-house promotion and internal marketing efforts
- verify patient insurance benefits prior to first visit via phone and online portals
- enter insurance information accurately into patient charts
- explain insurance coverage clearly and confidently to patients
- handle objections related to insurance coverage and out-of-pocket costs
- set up payment plans through Care Credit and cash self-pay programs
- prepare patients for appointments
- take patient vitals
- assist with room preparation and scheduling
