Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Completion of medical assisting program certificate or official transcript or training by licensed physician or certification through approved medical assistant organization
- At least one year of relevant healthcare experience
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification
- Ability to follow clinical protocols and standard procedures
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to learn and apply clinical knowledge
- Ability to demonstrate customer service and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with healthcare documentation and coding
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Completion or certification from a recognized medical assisting program
- At least one year of healthcare or medical assisting experience
- Knowledge of medical terminology and coding regulations
- Familiarity with computer systems used in clinical settings
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification
Job Duties
- Undertake work in assigned areas to develop clinical expertise within specialty clinic
- Complete disability paperwork, maintain temperature logs, follow protocols, ensure workplace safety and infection prevention
- Perform patient care duties including measuring vital signs, weight, height, rooming, drawing labs, assist with medication reconciliation, and specialized tasks like EKG and ear lavage
- Handle clinical administration including check-in/out, virtual rooming, vaccine administration, point-of-care testing, and specimen collection
- Manage weekly clinic preparation, stocking, ordering medications and supplies, and complete work assignments timely
- Handle patient phone calls, prescription refills, manage CRM/In-Basket, and act as liaison between providers, patients, and staff
- Ensure compliance with clinical procedures, documentation, and safety standards
