Job Requirements

Job Qualifications
- high school education or GED
- associate's or technical degree in business, healthcare, or computer science preferred
- experience in patient admissions or healthcare clerical work preferred
- strong communication and organizational skills
- proficiency with computer systems and data entry

- knowledge of insurance and billing processes preferred
Job Duties
- answer phone calls and direct them to appropriate personnel
- admit patients into clinic and perform registration duties
- prepare patient charts and complete referral authorizations
- maintain department records, reports, and statistics
- collect co-payments and verify insurance information
- assist with billing forms and data entry
- schedule patient appointments and coordinate medical film digitization
- maintain cleanliness and organization of waiting rooms
- provide coverage and assistance to maintain departmental standards
- compile information for reports and meetings
- perform other related job duties as assigned
