Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous office experience preferred
  • Experience in sales and customer service preferred
  • Ability to communicate professionally with patients and staff
  • Proficient in scheduling systems and administrative tasks
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and state compliance guidelines
  • Ability to manage financial transactions and insurance claims
  • Positive and team-oriented attitude
  • Availability to work part-time on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday
  • Reliable and detail-oriented

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two years' office experience preferred
  • Two years' sales and customer service experience preferred
  • Enthusiastic and positive attitude
  • Team player with strong communication skills
  • Experience in medical receptionist or front desk roles in healthcare preferred

Job Duties

  • Perform general office and administrative duties assisting the hearing care professional with the patient process
  • Successfully utilize the scheduling system to maximize test opportunities for the office
  • Actively call current, past and potential patients through identified sources
  • Track and report appointment results
  • Develop and assist the hearing care professional in local marketing and sales activities, including sourcing new avenues for building community relationships and referrals
  • Professionally answer incoming phone calls and messages, as well as follow-up activities with patients
  • Process and document clinic forms accurately to ensure HIPAA and State law compliance
  • Verify patient eligibility, submit insurance claims and manage the process until claim is funded
  • Reconcile cash balance and manage accounts receivable and payable, including making bank deposits
  • Maintain a clean and welcoming office and work environment
