Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • no prior experience required
  • completion of CHH's PCA Training Program within 90 days
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification within 90 days
  • passing medical terminology exam with 80 percent or higher within 90 days
  • ability to meet physical demands including lifting, walking, and standing
  • reliability and professionalism
  • strong communication skills
  • willingness to learn and develop in healthcare role

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • completion of CHH's PCA Training Program within 90 days of start date
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification within 90 days of hire
  • passing score of 80 percent or higher on the medical terminology exam within 90 days
  • achievement of a score of 3 or higher on criteria-based performance evaluation during probation
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • team-first attitude and professionalism

Job Duties

  • Assist with routine patient care activities under supervision
  • help maintain a clean, organized, and safe unit environment
  • support nurses with clerical and receptionist duties
  • engage respectfully with patients, families, and clinical staff
  • learn the skills and standards needed to advance into a PCA role
