Job Requirements

  • Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment
  • Ability to stand, sit, and walk frequently throughout the shift
  • Capacity to bend, crawl, crouch, kneel, stoop or reach overhead occasionally
  • Ability to lift and carry or push and pull up to 10 lbs
  • Effective communication skills including talking and hearing continuously
  • Ability to read, concentrate, and think analytically frequently
  • Must be able to work rotating weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to work during inclement weather
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of relevant hospitality or customer service experience in a hospital environment

  • One year experience support/hospitality role and customer service in a hospital setting

  • Must be able to work rotating weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Greet patients/families with a positive, customer-focused and appropriate manner, providing directions and information, helping find patient locations and otherwise assisting visitors
  • Staffs Information desks in the assigned areas
  • Staffs the intensive care units, working with nursing to provide guidance and enforcement of the visitation policies for those units
  • Drive the courtesy cart along the prescribed route picking up and assisting patients and families who need help in getting to their destinations
  • Assist patients into and out of cars as they arrive and depart the hospital
  • Recognize patients and visitors in need of assistance and approach and fulfill the patient’s needs
  • Monitor and maintain visitor waiting areas as assigned
  • Complete other duties as assigned
