Job Requirements

  • minimum of 3 years experience in a customer service role
  • willingness to work 7 am to 3:30 pm shifts
  • ability to work weekends as needed
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • basic computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • knowledge of billing, scheduling, and insurance verification processes
  • ability to handle cash payments and perform reconciliations
  • strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • adherence to healthcare privacy and confidentiality standards

Job Qualifications

  • 3 years experience in a high contact customer service position or equivalent setting
  • bachelor degree in hospitality, business, marketing or related field preferred
  • 3 years sales or retail experience in a high-volume customer focused environment preferred
  • 2 years experience working with POS and cash reconciliation preferred
  • proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite

Job Duties

  • Accurately registers patients
  • enters patient demographics information into billing/scheduling system for all new patients
  • verifies correct demographics on all returning patients
  • verify patient insurance eligibility
  • assists patients with financial payment arrangements
  • determines self-pay patients and coordinates financial assistance
  • enters charges into billing system within 24 hours of service date
  • manages Hold Bill report and monthly self-pay patient review
  • collects patient payments in accordance with health plan contracts
  • provides patient receipts for all transactions
  • maintains cash drawer security
  • demonstrates adaptability by maintaining a safe and clean lobby
  • performs receptionist duties including greeting patients and managing phone calls professionally
  • maintains appointment scheduling and reconciles daily schedules
  • completes procurement paperwork and maintains supply inventory
  • advocates healthcare mission and handles customer service issues
  • actively participates in team meetings and problem resolution
  • utilizes service recovery tools appropriately
