Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in medical office or patient registration preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work full-time during day shifts
- Basic computer skills including data entry
- Capacity to maintain accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to interact professionally with patients and healthcare staff
- Must be able to perform repetitive tasks and handle fast-paced work environment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a medical receptionist or registration role preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with electronic health record systems
- Ability to handle confidential patient information with discretion
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
Job Duties
- Meet with patients and/or caregivers to exchange information and documentation
- Provide explanations of visits, instructions, and address questions
- Communicate with referring providers and clinical departments to exchange information and determine schedule
- Verify insurance benefits and obtain pre-certification/authorization as necessary
- Determine and accept required payments including co-pays and deductibles, refer to financial counselors as needed
- Accurately enter demographic, billing, and clinical information in registration system
- Work independently using critical thinking and judgment in a fast-paced environment
