Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in medical office or patient registration preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work full-time during day shifts
  • Basic computer skills including data entry
  • Capacity to maintain accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to interact professionally with patients and healthcare staff
  • Must be able to perform repetitive tasks and handle fast-paced work environment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a medical receptionist or registration role preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with electronic health record systems
  • Ability to handle confidential patient information with discretion
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure

Job Duties

  • Meet with patients and/or caregivers to exchange information and documentation
  • Provide explanations of visits, instructions, and address questions
  • Communicate with referring providers and clinical departments to exchange information and determine schedule
  • Verify insurance benefits and obtain pre-certification/authorization as necessary
  • Determine and accept required payments including co-pays and deductibles, refer to financial counselors as needed
  • Accurately enter demographic, billing, and clinical information in registration system
  • Work independently using critical thinking and judgment in a fast-paced environment
