Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 1 year of customer service experience
- Ability to work onsite at Ardent - Seton Medical Center in Harker Heights, TX
- Ability to obtain CRCR certification within 6 months of hire
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Proficiency with computer systems and data entry
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 year customer service experience
- Ability to operate telephone switchboard
- Knowledge of patient registration processes
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to comply with regulatory requirements in healthcare
- Certification as Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) within 6 months of hiring (paid by company)
Job Duties
- Perform admitting duties for all patients admitted for hospital services
- Assign accurate medical record numbers (MRNs)
- Complete medical necessity and compliance checks
- Provide patient instructions and collect insurance information
- Receive and process physician orders
- Operate the telephone switchboard for internal and external communications
- Utilize quality auditing and reporting systems for account accuracy
- Conduct patient pre-registration including demographic and insurance data collection
- Explain consent for treatment forms and obtain necessary signatures
- Distribute and explain patient education documents
- Review eligibility responses and enter benefit data to support billing
- Screen medical necessity using Advanced Beneficiary Notice software
- Document and distribute necessary forms and pamphlets
