Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- BLS through American Heart Association or American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card valid through sixty days of hire
- Ability to work flexibly during the shift
- Ability to handle patient and caregiver interactions professionally
- Capability to manage multiple tasks accurately and efficiently
- Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- BLS or CPR certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross with card in-hand before start date
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and caregivers
- Strong organizational and clerical skills
- Experience in a healthcare or patient registration role preferred
Job Duties
- Meet with patient and/or patient caregiver to exchange necessary information and documentation
- Provide explanation of visit, instructions, and address concerns and questions
- Verify insurance benefits and obtain pre-certification/authorization as necessary
- Escort and transport patients and visitors within facility, including use of wheelchair or oxygen tank
- Determine and accept required payments including co-pays and deductibles or refer to financial counselors for follow up
- Ensure all necessary demographic, billing, and clinical information is obtained and accurately entered into registration system
- Utilize critical thinking skills and exercise decisive judgment while working independently in a fast-paced environment
