Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid BLS or CPR certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer before start date
  • BLS or CPR card valid at least sixty days after hire
  • Ability to work night shifts
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to manage sensitive patient information confidentially

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • BLS through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
  • BLS or CPR card must be valid through sixty days of hire
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with registration systems
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Job Duties

  • Meet with patient and/or patient’s caregiver to exchange necessary information and documentation
  • Provide explanation of visit, instructions, and address concerns and questions
  • Verify insurance benefits and obtain pre-certification/authorization as necessary
  • Escort and transport patients and visitors within facility, which may include a wheelchair or oxygen tank
  • Determine and accept required payments, including co-pays and deductibles, or refer to financial counselors for follow up
  • Ensure that all necessary demographic, billing, and clinical information is obtained and entered in the registration system with timeliness and accuracy
  • Use critical thinking, decisive judgment, and work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
