Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
  • BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire

  • High school diploma or GED
  • current BLS through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in hand before start date
  • BLS or CPR card valid for at least sixty days from hire date

Job Duties

  • Meet with patient and/or patient’s caregiver to exchange necessary information and documentation
  • provide explanation of visit, instructions, and address concerns and questions
  • verify insurance benefits and obtain pre-certification/authorization as necessary
  • escort and transport patients and visitors within facility, which may include a wheelchair or oxygen tank
  • determine and accept required payments, including co-pays and deductibles, or refer to financial counselors for follow up
  • ensure that all necessary demographic, billing, and clinical information is obtained and entered in the registration system with timeliness and accuracy
  • apply critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
