Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to work nights
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive patient information confidentially
- Capable of escorting patients including use of wheelchair or oxygen tank
- Basic computer skills and data entry accuracy
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience in receptionist or registration roles preferred
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to perform clerical duties accurately
- Basic knowledge of insurance verification processes
- Proficiency with computer registration systems
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
Job Duties
- Meet with patient and/or caregiver to exchange necessary information and documentation
- Provide explanation of visit, instructions, and address concerns and questions
- Verify insurance benefits and obtain pre-certification/authorization as necessary
- Escort and transport patients and visitors within the facility, which may include use of wheelchair or oxygen tank
- Determine and accept required payments including co-pays and deductibles or refer to financial counselors for follow up
- Obtain and enter necessary demographic, billing, and clinical information in the registration system with accuracy and timeliness
- Use critical thinking skills and decisive judgement to work independently in a fast-paced environment
