Job Qualifications

- Experience in healthcare or patient registration preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to operate office and registration software
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
- Customer service orientation with problem-solving skills
Job Duties
- Meet with patient and/or patient's caregiver to exchange necessary information and documentation
- Provide explanation of visit, instructions, and address concerns and questions
- Verify insurance benefits and obtain pre-certification/authorization as necessary
- Escort and transport patients and visitors within facility, which may include a wheelchair or oxygen tank
- Determine and accept required payments, including co-pays and deductibles, or refer to financial counselors for follow up
- Ensure all necessary demographic, billing, and clinical information is obtained and entered in registration system with timeliness and accuracy
- Work independently with critical thinking skills and decisive judgement in a fast-paced environment
