Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED certificate required
- ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
- proficiency with computers and office technology
- attention to detail and accuracy
- ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- willingness to work Monday through Friday, 8am to 4:30pm
- ability to work from Evansville, IN office

Job Duties
- Be aware of ongoing health system relationships and affiliations
- polite and clear phone manner while communicating with patients to ensure their satisfaction
- maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with company policies and procedures
- answer all incoming phone calls in a timely manner
- route calls to appropriate person or department within Orthopaedic Associates
- answer basic questions for patients, such as confirming appointments
- maintain a general knowledge of Epic
- accurately enter and/or update new information on the patient's demographics in his/her chart
- schedule appointments as requested by the patient, the patient's referring provider or the Orthopaedic Associates physician
- create telephone encounters to document patient questions, concerns or requests for clinical staff and physicians to review if the phone nurse is not available
- check the patient's billing status before scheduling
- utilize secure messaging systems to communicate with providers
- assign and distribute fax documents
- respond to patient messages and appointment requests through texting tools
- roll phones to answering service at end of day
