Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience required
- less than one year of customer service, administrative or related experience required
- be at minimum a good fit for the job as determined by the Talent Sorter assessment preferred
- must have or be eligible to obtain a valid driver’s license and driving record within Hanger’s Motor Vehicle Safety Policy and Procedures standards
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
- strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- ability to key 30 words per minute with accuracy
- experience in receptionist position or with medical front office procedures preferred
- understanding of medical reimbursement and terminology preferred
- ability to use a computer including Windows-based software and e-mail
- ability to use office equipment such as facsimile machines, calculator, postage machine, copier
- act with integrity and maintain honesty, transparency, and respect in all relationships
- focus on superior outcomes and work processes
- ability to work with handicapped individuals
- foster open collaboration and constructive dialogue
Job Duties
- Greet and assist patients upon arrival, providing information on wait times and addressing inquiries at the front desk or reception area
- verify and update patient demographics and insurance details during check-in
- handle walk-in registrations
- collect patient payments, including deductibles, copays, and co-insurance at the front desk
- coordinate follow-up appointments, including cast and measure, delivery, and prosthetic care plans
- serve as a liaison for clinic services, offering information on patient experience programs, support groups, and other resources
- collaborate with the Revenue Cycle Management team to obtain necessary patient information
- ensure accurate and complete electronic health records for all patients
