Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • Less than one year of customer service, administrative or related experience required
  • Must have or be eligible to obtain a valid driver’s license with a driving record within company standards
  • Be at minimum a good fit for the job as determined by Talent Sorter assessment preferred
  • Experience in receptionist role or medical front office procedures preferred

  • Experience in a receptionist position or with medical front office procedures preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to key 30 words per minute with accuracy
  • Ability to work with handicapped individuals
  • Understanding of Alpha filing system
  • Understanding of medical reimbursement and terminology preferred
  • Ability to use a computer including Windows-based software and e-mail
  • Ability to use all necessary office equipment such as facsimile machines, calculator, postage machine, and copier
  • Act with integrity, remain honest, transparent, and respectful in all relationships
  • Keep the patient at the center of all actions building lifelong trust
  • Foster open collaboration and constructive dialogue
  • Continuously innovate and respond to change
  • Focus on superior outcomes and calibrate work processes for outstanding results

Job Duties

  • Greet and assist patients upon arrival, providing information on wait times and addressing inquiries
  • Verify and update patient demographics and insurance details during check-in
  • Collect patient payments including deductibles, copays, and co-insurance at the front desk
  • Coordinate follow-up appointments including cast and measure, delivery, and prosthetic care plans
  • Serve as a liaison for clinic services, offering information on patient experience programs, support groups, and other resources
  • Collaborate with the Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) team to obtain necessary patient information
  • Ensure accurate and complete electronic health records for all patients
