Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- less than 1 year of relevant experience
- complete and pass the Patient Access training course
- ability to work in a high volume fast-paced environment
- perform basic mathematical calculations
- detail oriented organized team player compassionate
- excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills
- basic knowledge of medical and insurance terminology desired
- experience with computer applications and accurate typing skills
- knowledge of regulatory guidelines including HIPAA AHCA EMTALA and Medicare coverage structure
- bilingual English Spanish or Creole preferred

- coordinate patient flow within the department physician practice hospital
- process patient information and documentation timely
- maintain current knowledge of insurance requirements and financial assistance options
- provide compassionate and professional service to patients families employees and physicians
- handle patient inquiries and concerns efficiently
