Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum two years of experience as a Pastry Supervisor
  • Strong knowledge of baking techniques, pastry production and decoration
  • Experience in training and supervising pastry staff

  • Positive attitude and strong customer service focus
  • Understanding of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Effective communication and leadership skills
  • Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred

Job Duties

  • Oversee and participate in the creation, preparation, production and baking of all pastries, breads, rolls and desserts for food and beverage outlets
  • Ensure pastry cooks prepare pastry food items according to designated recipes and quality standards and inspect food quality and presentation
  • Supervise hourly pastry shop team members, daily production and distribution of all pastries, desserts, and baked goods
  • Creates, prepares/produces/bakes all breakfast pastries, breads, rolls and desserts for restaurants and banquets
  • Decorates pastries/cakes with creativity and skill
  • Assist Pastry Chef in training, developing, empowering, coaching and counseling, resolving problems, and providing open communication
  • Assist Pastry Chef in creating, planning, and implementing seasonal menu changes to provide variety and maintain guest's interest
  • Monitor and control the maintenance/sanitation of the pastry shop and equipment to ensure a healthy, safe work environment
  • Practice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to regulations
  • Oversee the display of baked products on mobile carts according to specifications
  • Monitor and maintain pastry shop supplies par levels to ensure quality production
