Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of experience in a pastry supervisory role
  • Ability to work full availability including weekends and holidays
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation
  • Capability to train and motivate pastry team members
  • Good physical stamina for kitchen work
  • Positive attitude and teamwork orientation

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of pastry supervisor experience
  • Proven leadership skills in pastry kitchen environments
  • Strong knowledge of baking techniques and pastry production
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality control

  • Familiarity with food safety and sanitation regulations

Job Duties

  • Oversee and participate in the creation, preparation, production and baking of all pastries, breads, rolls and desserts for food and beverage outlets
  • Ensure pastry cooks prepare pastry food items according to designated recipes and quality standards and inspect food quality and presentation
  • Supervise hourly pastry shop team members, daily production and distribution of all pastries, desserts, and baked goods
  • ensure recipes and standards are followed, food and labor costs are controlled, the appropriate quantity is prepared and safety standards and regulations are followed to provide top quality goods for an enhanced guest experience
  • Create, prepare/produce/bake all breakfast pastries, breads, rolls and desserts for restaurants and banquets
  • Decorate pastries/cakes with creativity and skill
  • Assist Pastry Chef in training, developing, empowering, coaching and counseling, resolving problems, and providing open communication, as appropriate
  • Assist Pastry Chef in creating, planning, and implementing seasonal menu changes to provide variety and maintain guest's interest
  • Monitor and control the maintenance/sanitation of the pastry shop and equipment to ensure a healthy, safe work environment which meets/exceeds federal, state, corporate and franchise standards and regulations
  • Practice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal, state, local and company regulations
  • Oversee the display of baked products on mobile carts according to specifications
  • Monitor and maintain pastry shop supplies par levels to ensure quality production
  • Communicate needs to Pastry Chef in a timely fashion
