Job Requirements

  • Must be able to reach, bend and stoop occasionally

  • Knowledge of food cost controls

  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks professionally

  • Ability to follow and adjust recipes as necessary
  • Ability to use all senses to ensure quality standards
  • Experience working in fast paced, intense environments

Job Duties

  • Assume responsibility for pastry and bread production in absence of Executive Pastry Chef
  • Plan, prep, set up and provide quality service for all hotel production areas
  • Monitor mise en place to ensure standards are met
  • Ensure adherence to established recipes and plating guides
  • Control food and labor costs
  • Communicate efficiently with internal customers including stewarding and service staff
  • Organize and set up workstations efficiently
  • Maintain compliance with sanitation and health regulations
  • Schedule team members based on business needs
  • Handle guest special requests
  • Contribute to team growth and success
  • Participate in event setups such as Jasmine Sunday desserts brunch and seaside buffets
