Job Requirements
- Must be able to reach, bend and stoop occasionally
- Must be able to carry items up to 40lbs over moderate distances occasionally
- Must be able to work in an office setting with tasks such as typing, answering phones, use of a computer for hours at a time
- Must be able to verbally communicate with employees and managers one-on-one or by phone
- Must be able to work on site daily

- Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy

- Ability to follow recipes and adjust quantities as needed
- Ability to direct performance of pastry kitchen staff and follow up with corrections
- Ability to use all senses to ensure quality standards are met
- Ability to work in a fast paced, intense work environment under heat and stress
Job Duties
- Assume total responsibility for pastry and bread production in the absence of the Executive Pastry Chef
- Plan, prep, and provide quality service for all resort menu items supplied by the outlet kitchen
- Monitor mise en place to ensure completion according to set standards
- Ensure adherence to established recipes and plating guides
- Maintain and contribute to a positive work environment
- Control food and labor costs
- Direct and motivate pastry kitchen staff
- Organize and execute special buffet events such as Jasmine Sunday desserts and seaside buffets
