Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional pastry experience including supervisory or leadership experience
- Formal culinary or pastry education preferred or equivalent hands-on experience
- Strong knowledge of classical and modern pastry techniques baking plated desserts and chocolate work
- Proven ability to lead train and motivate a diverse team
- Excellent time management organization and multitasking skills
- Experience in a private club fine dining luxury hotel or high-volume banquet environment preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistency and presentation
- Ability to work PM shifts weekends holidays and special events as required
- ServSafe or equivalent food safety certification or ability to obtain
Job Duties
- Lead and supervise PM pastry operations ensuring smooth service for à la carte dining banquets and special events
- Manage train and mentor a pastry team of five fostering a positive professional and collaborative work environment
- Ensure consistent quality presentation and flavor across all pastry and dessert offerings
- Execute daily production prep schedules and service requirements efficiently
- Assist with menu development seasonal features and special event desserts
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness organization and food safety in accordance with health regulations
- Monitor product usage minimize waste and assist with inventory and ordering
- Collaborate with culinary leadership and other departments to meet member and guest expectations
- Step into a leadership role in the absence of the Executive Pastry Chef as needed
