Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in culinary or pastry field
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • physical ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items
  • strong organizational skills
  • excellent teamwork and communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • prior experience in a pastry chef or sous chef role
  • knowledge of classic and contemporary baking techniques
  • strong leadership and communication skills
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • passion for culinary arts
  • experience with inventory management

Job Duties

  • assist the executive pastry chef in daily kitchen operations
  • prepare and bake pastries, desserts, and breads using classic and contemporary techniques
  • manage inventory and order supplies as needed
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry kitchen
  • train and mentor junior pastry staff
  • collaborate with culinary team and other departments to create seasonal menus
  • ensure compliance with health and safety standards
