Job Requirements

  • 2 plus years of experience as pastry chef for high volume dining and high end catering
  • Strong leadership ability and successful supervisory background
  • Proven culinary knowledge including purchasing, inventory, production schedules and cost controls
  • Passion for food and innovation
  • Ability to think out of the box
  • Minimum education requirement - associate's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum management experience - 2 years
  • Minimum functional experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts

Job Duties

  • Prepare and bake a wide range of desserts, pastries, and baked goods following traditional and modern recipes
  • Innovate and develop new pastry recipes to enhance the menu and attract customers
  • Decorate pastries and desserts to ensure visual appeal and meet quality standards
  • Lead hands-on pastry classes to teach guests how to prepare specific pastry items
  • Host onsite pop-ups to showcase seasonal items and engage with guests
  • Design and create pastries for catering events focusing on regional or seasonal themes
