Job Requirements
- associate degree or equivalent experience in culinary arts
- prior experience in kitchen management or culinary leadership
- ability to work in a high-volume food production environment
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- computer proficiency including Microsoft Office suite
- strong communication and leadership skills
- willingness to participate in client satisfaction programs and activities
- ServSafe certification preferred
Job Qualifications
- A.S. or equivalent experience
- some progressive culinary or kitchen management experience
- catering experience preferred
- knowledge of high volume, complex foodservice operations
- institutional and batch cooking experiences helpful
- comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends focusing on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
- proficiency in computers including Microsoft Office, Outlook, email and internet
- ServSafe certification highly desirable
Job Duties
- assist the Executive Chef with managing cost controls and control expenditures for the account
- assist the Executive Chef with planning and creating menus
- produce and execute catering events
- roll out new culinary programs in conjunction with company marketing and culinary team
- supervise and lead pastry team during high-volume daily production
- maintain sanitation and food safety standards
- manage inventory and assist with ordering
