Job Requirements

  • associate degree or equivalent experience in culinary arts
  • prior experience in kitchen management or culinary leadership
  • ability to work in a high-volume food production environment
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • computer proficiency including Microsoft Office suite
  • strong communication and leadership skills
  • willingness to participate in client satisfaction programs and activities
  • ServSafe certification preferred

Job Qualifications

  • A.S. or equivalent experience
  • some progressive culinary or kitchen management experience
  • catering experience preferred
  • knowledge of high volume, complex foodservice operations
  • institutional and batch cooking experiences helpful
  • comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends focusing on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
  • proficiency in computers including Microsoft Office, Outlook, email and internet
  • ServSafe certification highly desirable

Job Duties

  • assist the Executive Chef with managing cost controls and control expenditures for the account
  • assist the Executive Chef with planning and creating menus
  • produce and execute catering events
  • roll out new culinary programs in conjunction with company marketing and culinary team
  • supervise and lead pastry team during high-volume daily production
  • maintain sanitation and food safety standards
  • manage inventory and assist with ordering
