Job Requirements

  • Culinary school graduate or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years supervisory or managerial experience in a pastry position
  • 2+ years experience with at least 2 of the following: wedding cakes, chocolate production, bread/viennoiserie, plated desserts or high-volume banquet production
  • Ability to clearly communicate via written and verbal formats with stakeholders of varying levels in differing departments using necessary organizational tools

Job Duties

  • Create and oversee production of items of the highest quality
  • Ensure guest satisfaction and consistency through fully developed recipes
  • Utilize knowledge and experience to incorporate seasonally relevant ingredients and techniques to create approachable and appealing amenities, plated desserts and banquets
  • Lead and mentor team members in upholding standards, including Forbes ratings, and compliance with all company policies and procedures
  • Assist with scheduling and monitoring daily labor to meet expected goals
  • Assist with ordering, inventorying and recipe costing to manage food cost
  • Oversee setup, operation, breakdown and cleaning of kitchen daily
  • Availability to work holidays, weekends, nights and special events
